Larsucosterol ammonium

LXR Antagonist

Larsucosterol ammonium is a potent liver X receptor (LXR) antagonist derived from cholesterol metabolism. It effectively decreases lipogenesis and inhibits cholesterol biosynthesis by reducing mRNA levels, thus preventing the activation of sterol regulatory element-binding protein 1 (SREBP-1). This compound is valuable in research applications focused on metabolic disorders and lipid regulation.
