LCB-2151

Anticancer Agent

LCB-2151 is a nucleoside analogue that acts as an anticancer agent by disrupting ATP production pathways, specifically glycolysis and mitochondrial oxidative phosphorylation. This mechanism significantly compromises the energy metabolism of KRAS-mutated pancreatic cancer cells, leading to reactive oxygen species (ROS) formation and enhanced cytotoxicity. LCB-2151 also inhibits critical enzymes involved in glycolysis, the TCA cycle, and fatty acid β-oxidation, promoting cellular apoptosis. This compound is applicable in research focused on enhancing radiation therapy efficacy in cancer treatment.
