Levobetaxolol

β-Adrenergic Antagonist

Levobetaxolol is a selective β-adrenergic antagonist with high affinity for β1, β2, and β3 receptors, exhibiting IC50 values of 33.2, 2970, and 709 nM, respectively. It effectively reduces intraocular pressure (IOP), making it relevant for glaucoma research. Additionally, Levobetaxolol shows micromolar affinity for L-type calcium channels and has demonstrated protective effects against ischemia/reperfusion injury in rat models. This compound is valuable for studies exploring cardiovascular function and ocular health.
