Levoketoconazole

Ketoconazole Enantiomer

Levoketoconazole is the 2S,4R enantiomer of ketoconazole, functioning primarily as a potent inhibitor of cortisol synthesis. By specifically inhibiting enzymes such as CYP11B1, CYP11A1, and CYP17A1, Levoketoconazole effectively reduces the production of cortisol and testosterone. This compound is particularly relevant for research applications focusing on endogenous Cushing’s syndrome and related endocrine disorders.
