Licarin A

Anti-allergic Agent

Licarin A is a neolignan that acts as an anti-allergic agent by significantly inhibiting the production of TNF-α in dinitrophenyl-human serum albumin (DNP-HSA)-stimulated RBL-2H3 cells, with an IC50 value of 12.6 μM. This compound also reduces the levels of PGD2 and downregulates COX-2 expression, highlighting its potential for exploring the mechanisms underlying allergic responses and inflammatory conditions in research applications.
