Limonin glucoside

Anticancer Agent

Limonin glucoside is an anticancer agent derived from the seeds of Citrus reticulata. It functions by inducing the activation of caspase-3, a key executor in the apoptotic pathway. Additionally, limonin glucoside effectively inhibits the proliferation of human colon adenocarcinoma (SW480) cells, demonstrating an IC50 value of 37.39 μM. This compound serves as a valuable tool for research into cancer biology and therapeutic applications.
