Lipid C16-C

Cationic Lipid

Lipid C16-C is an ionizable cationic lipid that facilitates the formation of lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) for effective mRNA delivery. This compound promotes ApoE-independent macropinocytosis, allowing for targeted uptake into macrophages. Following endosomal acidification, Lipid C16-C enhances endosomal escape, ensuring the release of mRNA into the cytosol, making it a valuable tool for gene therapy research and vaccine development.
