LTA Inhibitor
LtaS-IN-1 is a highly effective small-molecule inhibitor targeting the synthesis of lipoteichoic acid (LTA) in multidrug-resistant Enterococcus faecium. This compound exhibits antimicrobial activity against 28 strains of Enterococcus, demonstrating minimum inhibitory concentrations (MICs) ranging from 0.5 μg/mL to 64 μg/mL. Additionally, when used in combination with conventional antibiotics, LtaS-IN-1 significantly enhances the inhibition of multidrug-resistant E. faecium growth, making it a valuable tool for research into antibiotic resistance and cell wall morphology.
