LXRα agonist 1 is a selective agonist for Liver X Receptor alpha (LXRα) with an EC50 of 42 nM, demonstrating a moderate agonistic effect on LXRβ (EC50: 266 nM). This compound enhances the transcription of target genes by stabilizing the ligand-binding domain of LXRα. In research applications, LXRα agonist 1 has shown significant antitumor activity in hepatocellular carcinoma cells, particularly in combination with the Raf inhibitor Sorafenib.
