LXRβ ligand 1

LXR Agonist

LXRβ ligand 1 is an agonist of the liver X receptor beta (LXRβ), exhibiting an EC50 of 57 μM and a Ki of 28 μM against human LXRβ. It engages in hydrogen bonding with His435, stabilizing the His-Trp activation switch and maintaining the ligand-binding domain in an agonist conformation. The tert-butyl moiety occupies a hydrophobic subpocket, while the phenyl moiety interacts via π-π stacking with Phe329. This compound serves as a foundational structure for the design of LXRβ modulators in research applications related to lipid metabolism and inflammation.
