GLUK5 Receptor Antagonist

LY-466195 is a selective and competitive antagonist of the GLUK5 receptor, effectively inhibiting Kainate-induced currents with an IC50 value of 0.045 μM in rat dorsal root ganglion neurons. In HEK293 cells expressing GLUK5, GLUK2/GLUK5, or GLUK5/GLUK6 receptors, it demonstrates IC50 values of 0.08 μM, 0.34 μM, and 0.07 μM, respectively. This compound is valuable for research applications targeting excitatory neurotransmission and understanding the role of GLUK5 in neurological disorders.
