MAPI

SV3CP Inhibitor

MAPI is a polypeptide that acts as an irreversible inhibitor of the 3C cysteine protease (SV3CP). By covalently binding its C-terminal Michael-acceptor extension to the active site thiol of SV3CP at Cys 139, MAPI effectively inhibits protease activity. This compound is useful for investigating SV3CP's role in norovirus infections, offering valuable insights into viral pathogenesis and therapeutic development.
