MDH1 Inhibitor
MDH1-IN-2 is a selective inhibitor of MDH1, demonstrating IC50 values of 2.27 μM for MDH1 and 27.47 μM for MDH2. By inhibiting the conversion of 2-ketoglutaric acid to α-hydroxyglutaric acid, MDH1-IN-2 effectively reduces reactive oxygen species (ROS) generation, thus mitigating 2-ketoglutaric acid-induced ferroptosis. This compound serves as a valuable tool for research into metabolic pathways and oxidative stress-related cellular processes.
