MDH2 Inhibitor

MDH2-IN-2 is an orally active inhibitor of malate dehydrogenase 2 (MDH2) with a reported IC50 of 5.9 μM. This compound effectively reduces senescence markers and factors associated with the senescence-associated secretory phenotype (SASP) in mammalian cell models. Additionally, MDH2-IN-2 has demonstrated the ability to extend lifespan and enhance healthspan in *Caenorhabditis elegans*, as well as alleviate tissue senescence in aged mice by inhibiting SASP factors and restoring functions in liver and kidney. This reagent is valuable for research focused on cellular senescence and age-related pathologies.
