MDL-27531

Glycine Agonist

MDL-27531 is a glycine agonist that exhibits selective inhibition of hindlimb contractions and effectively reverses strychnine-induced seizures in murine models. It has been shown to inhibit seizures induced by pentylenetetrazol, with an effective dose (ED50) of 55 mg/kg. MDL-27531 enhances the binding of the benzodiazepine antagonist Ro 15-1788 to the cerebral cortex without altering GABA levels. This compound is valuable for research involving reflex control dysfunction and seizure management.
