Metamifop

ACCase Inhibitor

Metamifop is a potent ACCase inhibitor that targets the carboxyltransferase (CT) domain of chloroplast acetyl-CoA carboxylase (ACCase) with an IC50 of 41.1 nM in barnyard grass (Echinochloa crus-galli). By inhibiting the CT domain, Metamifop effectively disrupts lipid synthesis, making it a valuable tool in studies related to herbicide resistance and fatty acid metabolism. Its application in agricultural research underscores its significance in understanding plant growth regulation and developing new herbicidal strategies.
