MFN2 agonist-1 is a potent MFN2 agonist that enhances mitochondrial fusion, specifically in mitofusin 2 (MFN2)-deficient cells. This compound has demonstrated the ability to reverse mitochondrial clumping, leading to improved mitochondrial motility in cultured mouse neurons expressing the CMT2A mutant MFN2 T105M.
