Midaglizole hydrochloride

α2-Adrenoceptor Antagonist

Midaglizole hydrochloride is a preferential α2-adrenoceptor antagonist, exhibiting a significantly greater affinity for the α2-adrenoceptor compared to the α1-adrenoceptor, with a pKi of 6.28. This selective mechanism allows for the modulation of adrenergic signaling pathways, making it a valuable tool for studying the physiological roles of α2-adrenoceptors. Midaglizole hydrochloride is applicable in research focused on cardiovascular effects, neuropharmacology, and the treatment of various conditions related to adrenergic dysregulation.
