Milrinone lactate

Inotropic Dilating Agent

Milrinone lactate is a potent inotropic dilating agent primarily targeting phosphodiesterase type 3. It exhibits simultaneous positive inotropic and vasodilatory effects, making it effective in reducing systemic vascular resistance (SVR) and pulmonary vascular resistance (PVR) in patients with dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM) and New York Heart Association (NYHA) class III and IV heart failure. Milrinone lactate is valuable for research into cardiovascular function post-cardiac surgery and in the context of septic shock.
