Mitiperstat
MPO Inhibitor
Mitiperstat is a potent inhibitor of myeloperoxidase (MPO), demonstrating an IC50 of 1.5 nM. It also inhibits thyroid peroxidase (TPO) with an IC50 of 0.69 μM and has a weaker effect on CYP3A4 (IC50 of 6 μM). Mitiperstat has been shown to reduce inflammation and enhance microvascular function, making it a valuable compound for research in heart failure, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
