MKI-2

MASTL Inhibitor

MKI-2 is a selective MASTL inhibitor with an IC50 of 37.44 nM, effectively targeting the MASTL-PP2A signaling axis. This compound promotes mitotic catastrophe in breast cancer cells by reducing phospho-ENSA and total phospho-c-Myc levels, leading to decreased cell proliferation and migration, as well as increased DNA damage. Additionally, MKI-2 has been shown to inhibit germinal vesicle breakdown in mouse oocytes, making it a valuable tool for cancer research, particularly in the context of breast cancer.
