ML252 hydrochloride
KCNQ2 Inhibitor
ML252 hydrochloride is a selective inhibitor of the KCNQ2 (Kv7.2) ion channel, exhibiting an IC50 of 69 nM for KCNQ2 while demonstrating significantly higher IC50 values for KCNQ1, KCNQ2/Q3, and KCNQ4 at 2.92 μM, 0.12 μM, and 0.20 μM respectively. Additionally, ML252 hydrochloride serves as an inhibitor of several Cytochrome P450 enzymes, with potent IC50 values of 6.1 nM for CYP1A2, 18.9 nM for CYP2C9, 3.9 nM for CYP3A4, and 19.9 nM for CYP2D6. Due to its high brain penetrance, ML252 hydrochloride is valuable for research involving neurological disorders and ion channel pharmacology.
