Moexiprilat

Angiotensin-converting Enzyme (ACE)

Moexiprilat is a potent angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor, with an IC50 of 2.1 nM, and serves as the active metabolite of the prodrug Moexipril. It effectively attenuates the proliferation of primary neonatal rat cardiac fibroblasts stimulated by estrone or angiotensin II at a concentration of 10 nM. Additionally, Moexiprilat lowers mean arterial blood pressure and elevates atrial natriuretic peptide levels, a significant biomarker for hypertension, when administered at a dosage of 50 mg/kg per day in ovariectomized mice.
