Mofarotene

Anticancer Compound

Mofarotene, an arotinoid anticancer compound, primarily targets the induction of apoptosis through mechanisms such as mitochondrial membrane depolarization and activation of caspase-3 and -9. This compound is also associated with increased production of reactive oxygen species. In addition, Mofarotene demonstrates the ability to inhibit hematopoiesis in vitro by preventing maturation from primitive progenitor cells, making it valuable for various cancer research applications.
