Molidustat sodium

Hypoxia-Inducible Factor Prolyl Hydroxylase Inhibitor

Molidustat sodium is a potent inhibitor of hypoxia-inducible factor prolyl hydroxylases (HIF-PHs), exhibiting IC50 values of 480 nM for PHD1, 280 nM for PHD2, and 450 nM for PHD3. By inhibiting these enzymes, Molidustat sodium effectively increases circulating erythropoietin (EPO) levels, contributing to the regulation of erythropoiesis. This reagent is particularly valuable for research focused on renal anemia and the physiological responses to hypoxia.
