Monasfluore

Monasfluore A is an azaphenanthrenone derivative that acts as a potent antioxidant. It effectively inhibits lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced nitric oxide production and demonstrates scavenging activity against DPPH and superoxide anion free radicals. Monasfluore A exhibits cellular antioxidant properties in oxidatively damaged colon adenocarcinoma cells while showing no antiproliferative effects on human laryngeal cancer cells or colon adenocarcinoma cells. This compound is useful for research applications focused on oxidative stress and its related pathologies.
