MPO inhibitor
MPO-IN-5 is a potent, irreversible inhibitor of myeloperoxidase (MPO). It effectively inhibits MPO-mediated peroxidation with an IC50 of 0.22 μM, while also demonstrating significant hERG binding with an IC50 of 2.8 μM. The compound exhibits rapid kinetics of inhibition, characterized by an enzyme inactivation rate (kinact/Ki) of 23000 M−1s−1, making it a valuable tool for research applications related to oxidative stress and inflammatory pathways.
