MSN-125
Bax/Bak Oligomerization Inhibitor
MSN-125 is a potent inhibitor of Bax and Bak oligomerization, effectively blocking mitochondrial outer membrane permeabilization (MOMP) with an IC50 of 4 μM. This compound demonstrates significant inhibition of Bax/Bak-mediated apoptosis in HCT-116 and BMK cells, as well as in primary cortical neurons. MSN-125 also protects primary neurons from glutamate-induced excitotoxicity, making it a valuable tool for research into apoptosis and neuroprotection.
