MU147
Endonuclease Inhibitor
MU147 is a potent inhibitor of the MRE11 nuclease, functioning as a valuable chemical probe in cancer research. It exhibits significant anticancer activity by inducing lethality in Ehrlich ascites tumor cells both in vitro and in vivo. Additionally, MU147 disrupts the double-strand break repair mechanism dependent on MRE11 activity while preserving ATM activation. This compound also hinders the degradation of nascent strands during stalled replication, particularly affecting cells deficient in BRCA2.
