N-Acetylputrescine

SCCL/PD Biomarker

N-Acetylputrescine is a polyamine metabolite that primarily targets cell proliferation and signal transduction through polyamine acetylation. It modulates the positive charge of polyamines, influencing protein-nucleic acid interactions and promoting cell growth. Changes in N-Acetylputrescine levels may serve as a diagnostic tool for lung cancer and offer insights into microbial cell wall structure. Additionally, it has potential as a biomarker for the progression of squamous cell carcinoma of the lung (SCCL) and Parkinson's disease (PD).
