N-Palmitoyl-phenylalanine
Pre-mRNA Splicing Agent
N-Palmitoyl-phenylalanine is an N-acyl amide that targets pre-mRNA splicing. This compound inhibits pre-mRNA splicing in HeLa cell nuclear lysates, demonstrating an IC50 value greater than 400 μM. Notably, it does not exhibit splicing activity in intact HeLa cells, making it a valuable tool for studying splicing mechanisms and dynamics in cellular contexts.
