N1-Phenylsuberamide

Organic Amide Compound

N1-Phenylsuberamide is an organic amide compound that serves as a simplified analogue of Vorinostat. It demonstrates moderate anti-proliferative activity against breast cancer cell lines MDA-MB-231 and MCF-7, while displaying minimal histone deacetylase (HDAC) inhibitory effects. Additionally, N1-Phenylsuberamide weakly induces the expression of the p21 gene and has a low relative binding affinity for estrogen receptors. This compound is suitable for use as a control in biological studies.
