NA-17

Antitumor Agents

NA-17 is a naphthalimide compound that exerts its antitumor activity through p53-dependent mechanisms. It selectively inhibits various non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) cells while demonstrating reduced toxicity toward normal cells such as HL-7702 and WI-38. NA-17 induces the accumulation of active p53 in both mitochondria and nuclei, resulting in G1 phase cell cycle arrest, subsequent apoptosis, and cell death. This compound is valuable for research applications focusing on mechanisms of cancer cell proliferation and survival.
