Naloxone hydrochloride

Opioid Receptor Antagonist

Naloxone hydrochloride is a competitive antagonist of opioid receptors, primarily targeting the mu-opioid receptor. It is widely used in research to reverse opioid overdose effects, particularly respiratory depression. Additionally, caution should be exercised, as naloxone can induce side effects such as pulmonary edema and cardiac arrhythmias in certain conditions.
