Necrocide 1

NECSO Inducer

Necrocide 1 is a sodium overload (NECSO) inducer that acts as a selective agonist for the transient receptor potential melastatin 4 (TRPM4) channel, with an EC50 of 306.3 nM in human TRPM4. It promotes TRPM4-mediated necrotic cell death by facilitating sodium influx, leading to immunogenic cell death characterized by calreticulin (CALR) surface exposure, ATP release, and high mobility group box 1 (HMGB1) secretion. This compound is valuable for research in breast and prostate cancer studies, providing insights into the mechanisms of necrosis and immune response modulation.
