Negletein
Flavone
Negletein (5,6-Dihydroxy-7-methoxyflavone) targets inflammation by inhibiting the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines TNF-α and IL-1β, with IC50 values of 16.4 μM and 6.4 μM, respectively. It exhibits neuroprotective effects through the activation of Nrf2 and reduction of reactive oxygen species (ROS) production. Additionally, Negletein has shown potential in inhibiting the release and accumulation of amyloid beta-peptide and obstructing the formation of pathogen biofilms. Its diverse biological activities make it a valuable reagent for research in areas such as cancer, neurodegenerative diseases, inflammation, and infections.
