Nelivaptan
V1b Receptor Antagonist
Nelivaptan is a selective, orally active antagonist of the vasopressin V1b receptor, exhibiting Ki values of 3.7 nM and 1.3 nM for native and recombinant rat V1b receptors, respectively. This compound effectively inhibits arginine vasopressin-induced calcium influx and secretion of corticotropin. Nelivaptan is valuable for research focused on stress, anxiety, and depression mechanisms.
