Nesvategrast
αvβ3 Antagonist
Nesvategrast (SF0166) is a highly selective antagonist of the αvβ3 integrin, exhibiting IC50 values of 0.6 nM for αvβ3, 8 nM for αvβ6, and 13 nM for αvβ8. This compound effectively inhibits cellular adhesion to vitronectin across various species, including human, rat, rabbit, and dog cell lines, with IC50 values ranging from 7.6 pM to 76 nM. Nesvategrast has demonstrated the potential to reduce neovascularization in models of oxygen-induced retinopathy, making it a valuable tool for research in angiogenesis and related fields.
