Neuroprotective agent 12

Neuroprotective Agent

Neuroprotective Agent 12 is an orally active compound that crosses the blood-brain barrier and functions as a neuroprotective agent. It demonstrates significant neuroprotective effects through robust antioxidant and anti-inflammatory mechanisms, inhibiting glutamate- and acrolein-induced cytotoxicity. This agent down-regulates PDE4B expression while enhancing levels of HO-1, phosphorylated CREB (p-CREB), and BDNF, thereby supporting neuroprotective strategies in models of traumatic brain injury (TBI) and other central nervous system disorders.
