Neuroprotective Agent 13 is a brain-penetrant 1H-benzo[d]imidazole compound that exerts neuroprotective effects. This agent activates autophagy and promotes the clearance of SCMAS accumulation in iPSC-derived neural progenitor cells. Its applications are particularly relevant for studying neurological diseases, including neuronal ceroid lipofuscinoses (NCLs).
