NF-Y Inhibitor

NFYi5 is an inhibitor of the nuclear transcription factor-Y (NF-Y). It disrupts the NF-Y's DNA binding, promotes ubiquitin-independent degradation of the NF-YA subunit, and consequently reduces NF-Y's transcriptional activity. As an antimitotic agent, NFYi5 effectively lowers the mRNA levels of NF-Y target genes while leaving housekeeping gene expression unchanged, leading to a decrease in cell proliferation. This compound is valuable for research into tissue fibrosis and related biological processes.
