Nic-15

Anti-hypovascular Modulator

Nic-15 is an anti-hypovascular modulator that targets the hypovascularity of pancreatic tumors, thereby addressing a key factor that contributes to cancer cell adaptation and drug resistance in nutrient-poor environments. By regulating the PI3K/Akt/mTOR signaling pathway, Nic-15 mitigates ER stress induced by the chemotherapeutic agent Gemcitabine. Additionally, it demonstrates significant inhibition of migration and colony formation in MIA PaCa-2 and PANC-1 pancreatic cancer cells. In preclinical in vivo xenograft studies, the combination of Nic-15 and Gemcitabine notably enhances the therapeutic efficacy against pancreatic tumors, providing a promising strategy to overcome drug resistance.
