NMac1
Nm23/NDPK Activator
NMac1 is a potent Nm23/NDPK activator that directly interacts with Nm23-H1, enhancing its nucleoside diphosphate kinase (NDPK) activity with an EC50 value of 10.7 µM. This compound is known to induce AMPK activation while inhibiting mTOR and ERK pathways, resulting in mitochondrial OXPHOS dysregulation and reduced mitochondrial ROS production. Consequently, NMac1 promotes mitochondrial dysfunction in MDA-MB-231 cells, exhibiting inhibitory effects on Complex I activity, tumor invasion, migration, and metastasis. NMac1 serves as a valuable reagent for investigating metastatic tumors, particularly in breast cancer research.
