DNA/RNA Synthesi
NPD9948 is a selective antitussive agent that primarily targets the central nervous system to suppress cough reflexes. Demonstrated efficacy in guinea pig models, it displays an antitussive dose (AtD50) of 14.5 mg/kg via intraperitoneal administration and 22.6 mg/kg when delivered orally. This compound is suitable for research into cough mechanisms and the development of novel antitussive therapies.
