NVS-ZP7-4

ZIP7 Inhibitor

NVS-ZP7-4 is a specific inhibitor of the zinc transporter SLC39A7 (ZIP7), effectively modulating intracellular zinc levels. This compound plays a pivotal role in the Notch signaling pathway and is involved in the regulation of ferroptosis. NVS-ZP7-4 induces endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress and demonstrates the capacity to inhibit ferroptosis, particularly mitigating Erastin-induced cytotoxicity in cellular models. Its applications extend to studies of cellular stress responses and ferroptosis mechanisms, making it a valuable tool for research in cancer and neurodegenerative diseases.
