Okadaic acid ammonium salt
PP1/PP2A Inhibitor
Okadaic acid ammonium salt is a potent inhibitor of protein phosphatases 1 and 2A (PP1/PP2A), exhibiting high affinity for PP2A with an IC50 of 0.1-0.3 nM. This compound effectively inhibits PP1, PP3, PP4, and PP5, while showing no activity against PP2C. Its ability to enhance the phosphorylation of various proteins makes it a valuable tool in cancer research, particularly for studies involving tumor promotion and tau phosphorylation.
