Oncaspar

L-Asparaginase

Oncaspar (PEG-L-asparaginase) is a pegylated enzyme derived from Escherichia coli that targets L-asparagine. By hydrolyzing asparagine in the bloodstream, Oncaspar is utilized in the treatment of acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), effectively inducing an integrated stress response (ISR) pathway. This compound plays a critical role in depriving leukemic cells of asparagine, thereby inhibiting their proliferation and aiding in cancer therapy research.
