OSM-S-106
PfAsnRS Inhibitor
OSM-S-106 is a pro-inhibitor targeting PfAsnRS, with its inhibition mechanism involving the enzyme-mediated formation of an Asn-OSM-S-106 adduct. This compound effectively inhibits protein translation and induces an amino acid starvation response. Demonstrating selective activity against both Plasmodium blood and liver stages, OSM-S-106 also exhibits low intrinsic clearance in human microsomes, making it a valuable tool for malaria research and studies focused on amino acid metabolism.
