Osteostatin

Osteoclastic bone resorption inhibitor

Osteostatin is a fragment of parathyroid hormone-related protein (PTHrP 107-111) that serves as an inhibitor of osteoclastic bone resorption. This compound has demonstrated the ability to promote bone repair in various animal models of bone defects and to prevent bone erosion associated with inflammatory arthritis. Osteostatin is applicable in research focused on inflammation and immunology, particularly in studies investigating its role in arthritis and bone health.
