Ovalbumins

Ovalbumin

Ovalbumins (OVA) primarily target various pathways involved in immune regulation and cellular signaling. These proteins exhibit diverse biological activities, including anticancer, antihypertensive, antibacterial, antioxidant, and immunomodulatory effects. Ovalbumins are notably synthesized in progesterone- or estrogen-treated fallopian tubes, making them valuable markers for studying hormone regulation of gene expression. Their use is particularly recommended in establishing asthma models for research applications in immunology and respiratory health.
